J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) Pagadian City Campus conducted a Strategic Direction and Development Meeting titled Campus-Level Presentation of Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP) for Feedback and Refinement Activity in July 2025. The session was initiated by Engr. Archel B. Bacus, Planning and Development Director (PDO), with For. Larnie L. Galiste, LUDIP Focal Person, facilitating the discussions. The activity was held with the support of the Pagadian Campus Director, Dr. Patricia D. Bahian.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The meeting gathered key representatives from various departments and offices, including Ms. Gina S. Calubag of the Property Asset Management Office (PAMO), FABLAB Manager Mr. Joniel L. Calibo, BSHM Program Chair Dr. Myrna V. Ce\u00f1o, School of Computing Studies Dean Prof. Elsie S. Yba\u00f1ez, and a representative from the School of Nursing. Also present were staff from the PDO and the Office of the Campus Director. Their participation underscored the college\u2019s commitment to inclusive and collaborative planning.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

One of the highlights of the meeting was the breakdown of a key institutional goal\u2014Infrastructure Development and Upgraded Institutional Services\u2014as it pertains specifically to the Pagadian Campus. This is part of the broader vision outlined in JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales\u2019 9-Point Agenda of developmental goals: RESILIENT \u2013 Transformation of the College. The attendees proposed refinements to the existing LUDIP to ensure alignment with the resilience-focused direction and aspirations for universityhood.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

During the open forum, attendees suggested practical and transformative initiatives that could enhance campus functionality and student experience. Among the key proposals were installing an improved drainage system to address flood-prone areas and creating movable kiosks to serve as flexible and student-friendly service spaces. These suggestions reflect a growing emphasis on infrastructure that is both adaptive and student-centered.<\/div>\n

The activity concluded with a unified vision to pursue a refined, strategic, and mission-driven LUDIP that reflects the aspirations of the JHCSC community. Through continuous collaboration and stakeholder engagement, the college reaffirms its commitment to building resilient, inclusive, and forward-looking campuses to pursue its goal toward universityhood.<\/div>\n
