J.H. Cerilles State College Main Campus held an Ecumenical Service, Distribution of Diplomas and Transcript of Records (TORs), and Recognition of Non-Academic and Proficiency Awardees on June 5, 2025, at the College Gymnasium in Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur. This significant event brought together the graduating Class of 2025, their proud parents, distinguished guests, key college officials, deans, as well as program chairs, faculty, and staff from the Main Campus.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Key figures who attended the event included Hon. Divina Grace C. Yu, serving as the Guest Speaker; President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales; Vice Presidents Dr. Vilma C. Grengia (Academic Affairs) and Dr. Jerry B. Superales (Research, Extension, and Resource Generation), who also serves as SAFES Dean; as well as Deans Dr. Starr Clyde Sebial (STE), Engr. Perla A. Rivera (SET), Dr. Benjamin B. Mangila (SAS), and Dr. Mark E. Patalinghug (SOCJE). Dean of Student Affairs and Services Dr. Jonno E. Tan and Campus Director Dr. Trinidad C. Abapo also supported the occasion with their presence.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

During the Ecumenical Service, guest religious leaders from various faith sectors delivered inspiring sermons and offered prayers. These included Ptra. Flordeliza A. Noval, Mr. Rojie B. Tambagel, Ustadz Julficar Samana, and Rev. Father Vicente Amplayo, OSA, who also blessed the Class of 2025\u2019s diplomas, TORs, certificates, and medals.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

In her message, Governor Divina Yu expressed that the noblest dreams are those pursued not for oneself but for the good of others. She shared her personal belief that a grateful person is destined to go far and achieve more. She encouraged the Class of 2025 to thank their parents, guardians, mentors, all those who supported them throughout their journey, and the government. She further emphasized that as they graduate, they now have the opportunity to give back to their parents and contribute to their communities.\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

There were 1,048 candidates for graduation from the Main Campus, representing the School of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Studies (SAFES); School of Teacher Education (STE); School of Engineering and Technology (SET); School of Arts and Sciences (SAS); and School of Criminal Justice Education (SOCJE). Those in attendance received the original copies of their diplomas and transcripts of records (TORs), which they were able to take home, marking a historic milestone\u2014the first time that J.H. Cerilles State College, under the visionary leadership of President Rosales, distributed original diplomas and TORs during a recognition or graduation ceremony.<\/div>\n
