With pride and celebration in the air, the JHCSC Laboratory High School held its 8th Moving-Up Ceremony for the Junior High School Class of 2025 on April 30, 2025, at the JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium in Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur. Carrying the theme \u201cHenerasyon ng Pagkakaisa: Kaagapay sa Bagong Pilipinas\u201d (Generation of Unity: Partners for the New Philippines), the ceremony signaled not just the end of the academic year but also the beginning of new aspirations for the thirty-four completers.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The event was attended by faculty members, staff, parents, and distinguished guests, including Dr. Juvy T. Empalmado, Public Schools District Supervisor; Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial, Dean of the School of Teacher Education; and Mrs. Anita S. Abansado, President of the Parent-Teacher Association. Their presence lent honor and significance to the occasion, which served to acknowledge the accomplishments and resilience of the students as they completed their junior high school journey.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Dr. Nimshe Pastrano, Laboratory High School Coordinator, formally opened the program with a heartfelt welcome address. \u201cToday is not only a day of celebration but also a time for gratitude,\u201d she reminded the students. \u201cMay you never forget the people who stood by you\u2014your parents and guardians\u2014whose sacrifices made this moment possible.\u201d Dr. Pastrano also led the ceremonial presentation of the candidates for completion, which was officially accepted by Dr. Sebial and confirmed by Dr. Empalmado, followed by the awarding of completion certificates.\n<\/div>\n

Adding inspiration to the occasion, guest speaker Ms. Kathleen Joy E. Bayocot-Padilla shared the story of a young girl who triumphed over life\u2019s hardships through grit and determination. Her message encouraged the completers to stay resilient and hopeful as they prepare for the next chapter of their academic lives.\n<\/div>\n

The ceremony also recognized academic excellence by awarding honors and special citations to outstanding students from Grades 7 to 9, alongside the Junior High School completers. Representing the batch, Jasmine Bella A. Peco, the student with high honors, delivered a message of gratitude, expressing heartfelt appreciation to the parents, teachers, and mentors who guided them throughout their journey. <\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

More than a celebration of accomplishments, the event marked a meaningful transition as the students prepare to enter senior high school\u2014equipped with new knowledge, values, and a more profound sense of responsibility for the path ahead.<\/div>\n
