The School of Law (SOL) at J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) celebrated the holy month of Ramadan by offering free meals for iftar, the meal taken by Muslims to break their daily fast at sundown, at the JHCSC Pagadian Campus Lobby on March 3, 2025. The initiative was led by Ms. Estella Marie N. Calib, former Supreme Student Council (SSC) President of the SOL, with the support of SOL Dean Atty. Romylyn O. Regidor. .\n<\/div>\n

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, is a time of fasting, worship, and spiritual reflection for Muslims. During this month, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, with iftar marking the end of each day\u2019s fast. To commemorate this sacred time, the SOL provided meals to Muslim and non-Muslim students, highlighting the spirit of giving that is central to the celebration.<\/div>\n

Atty. Regidor expressed her appreciation for the initiative, emphasizing the institution\u2019s goal of being culturally sensitive and recognizing Muslims\u2019 dedication to fasting during Ramadan. Ms. Calib also shared that the free meal service will continue daily at sundown throughout Ramadan, further promoting unity and compassion within the JHCSC community.<\/div>\n

In conclusion, Ramadan is not only a time of fasting and giving but also a month of reflection, charity, and spiritual growth. This initiative aligns with JHCSC\u2019s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where students are encouraged to reflect on their values and traditions while celebrating diversity and cultural understanding within the campus.<\/div>\n
