The Supreme Student Council (SSC) of the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), led by President Mr. Ariel T. Sajulda and under the guidance of Dean Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, conducted a seminar on research writing tips, tools, and best practices on March 1, 2025, at the Conference Hall, 3rd floor of the I.T. Building, Pagadian City Extension Campus. The event aimed to equip graduate students with essential skills and strategies to enhance the quality of their research work.<\/div>\n

Attended by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, SGS faculty, and students from various graduate programs, including MAEd Filipino, MAEd English, MAEd Educational Administration, MAEd Mathematics, MAEd Science, and MSERM, the seminar provided an opportunity for participants to learn from experienced resource speakers.<\/div>\n

Dr. Jay Fie P. Luzano, Assistant Professor IV at Bukidnon State University, led the morning session with a discussion on “Cutting-Edge Generative AI Tools in Educational Research,” highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in streamlining data analysis and academic writing. In the afternoon, Ms. Erma S. Ambalong, College Librarian of the Dumingag Campus, delivered a lecture on “Unlocking Knowledge: Mastering the Art of Sourcing for Research Excellence.” Both sessions concluded with an open forum, where students actively engaged with the speakers by asking insightful questions.<\/div>\n

Dr. Bahian emphasized that the seminar allowed students to enhance their research skills and gain valuable insights into effective writing strategies. She noted that the discussions aimed to help students streamline their research process, develop confidence in conducting academic investigations, and apply best practices in their studies. She added that by facilitating such initiatives, SGS reaffirms its commitment to producing quality researchers and developing well-structured and impactful research papers.<\/div>\n
