A total of forty-four (44) law student practitioners from JHCSC School of Law (SOL) took their oath at the Regional Trial Court, Branch 19, in Pagadian City on February 26, 2025. The ceremony serves as a key milestone in their Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP) 2, carried out in accordance with Rule 138-A of the Rules of Court. Hon. Romero T. Descallar, Executive Judge, administered the oath, joined by SOL Dean Atty. Romylyn O. Regidor and Judge Crislyn Pangandian-Sancho, CLEP Adviser.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The oath-taking allows the students to advance to their court externship, a requirement that provides hands-on experience in the legal profession. Under the CLEP, students will engage in real-world legal practice, assisting in court proceedings and gaining exposure to the judicial system beyond the classroom. This initiative bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application, reinforcing their readiness for legal practice and ensuring that JHCSC continues to produce lawyers equipped to meet the profession\u2019s demands.<\/div>\n

This ceremony underscored the importance of the program in shaping future lawyers. The externship will enable student practitioners to work closely with legal experts, fostering professional development and ethical responsibility. As they embark on this training phase, the CLEP students are expected to uphold the principles of justice and apply their learning in real case scenarios, strengthening JHCSC\u2019s commitment to producing competent and socially responsible legal practitioners.<\/div>\n
