The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) conducted its Institutional Assessment and Monitoring and Evaluation Activity led by CHED Regional Director, Atty. Marco Cicero F. Domingo, CESE at the J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) \u2013 Pagadian City Extension Campus Hostel on February 12, 2025. The Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, facilitated the activity under the leadership of JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales.<\/div>\n

The event was attended by a distinguished group of CHED assessors, including Dr. Joe-an G. Cuaresma, Dr. Clarissa C. Alvarez, Dr. Jose Vicente Mikael Regalad, Dr. Dennis M. Encarnacion, Engr. Janeny B. Domingsil and Dr. Conrad Quilat, who represented Ms. Raisa Agbayani. Notable attendees from JHCSC included campus directors, heads of offices and units, deans, faculty, and staff, all present to witness the significant activity.<\/div>\n

A key highlight of the event was awarding the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) to the Bachelor of Science in Forestry program, which was received by the Program Chair, For. Nomar Ramoncito. Following the awarding, each program underwent interviews and evaluations by CHED supervisors and representatives, while the assessment process was overseen by Atty. Domingo, ensuring thorough review and alignment with CHED standards.<\/div>\n

Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin, the Campus Director of the Dumingag Campus, expressed gratitude on behalf of Dr. Rosales, thanking CHED for their unwavering dedication and support toward JHCSC\u2019s aspirations of achieving universityhood. Atty. Domingo also took the opportunity to highlight the standards and requirements that need to be met in order to accomplish the goal of universityhood, encouraging the faculty and staff to remain committed to these objectives.<\/div>\n

The visit aims to assess the implementation and compliance of academic programs with CHED policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring that J.H. Cerilles State College continues to meet the highest educational standards as it works towards its goal of universityhood.<\/div>\n
