Representatives from the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) visited the Dapiwak, Dumingag Campus on February 11, 2025, to conduct a site validation for the water source identified through Georesistivity for the proposed Solar Water System. The initiative, aimed at enhancing water access and agricultural sustainability, aligns with the institution\u2019s commitment to environmental stewardship and cost-effective resource management.<\/div>\n

Dr. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin, Dumingag Campus Director, facilitated the visit and led the NIA delegates, including Hydrologist Jimuel Q. Cubelo, Engr. Delmar S. Apale, Irrigators Development Officer B Junrey R. Bayaw, Utility Worker A Jellymie Ann B. To-os, and Vechierose Abantao, a representative from D\u2019 Brothers International Trading Corporation, the project\u2019s contractor. The team inspected the designated area to assess its viability for the P15 million solar-powered water system.<\/div>\n

The proposed project will supply water to the entire Barangay Dapiwak, benefiting residents and agricultural activities. It aims to provide irrigation for rice fields and high-value crops, ensuring a sustainable water source for the community. The system is designed to operate efficiently while reducing dependency on traditional energy sources.<\/div>\n

Dr. Tangalin expressed his gratitude for the site validation and conveyed optimism for the project\u2019s implementation. He emphasized the potential impact of the solar water system in addressing water supply challenges and supporting agricultural productivity in the area.<\/div>\n
