Nine BSED Science students from J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC) attended the 7th International Conference and Annual Meeting on STEM Education (IAMSTEM 2024), held on November 6 to 7, 2024, at the MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology in Iligan City, Philippines. The event gathered academics, researchers, and students from around ASEAN countries to explore the latest developments in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, fostering a global exchange of ideas and research. <\/div>\n

The conference jointly hosted by a consortium of prestigious institutions, including the Phnompenh Teacher Education College; Science Education Association of Thailand (SEAT); ASEAN Comparative Educational Research Network (ACER-N); Khon Kaen University, Surindra Rajabhat University, and Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University, Thailand; Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia; State University of Malang and; National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), Taiwan; Maha Sarakham Rajabhat University, Thailand; IAIN KUDUS | Institut Agama Islam Negeri Kudus; Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS); MSU Tawi-Tawi and Curtin University, Australia. <\/div>\n

The JHCSC student participants\u2014Michelle Yeo, Roldezily Paragas, Jhonny Viel Rabe, Maybel Nieva, Rap Rap Tilus, Marcelina Lesayao, Rochel Mae Laure, Ronalie Resurreccion, and Kennith Jay Tejares\u2014were accompanied by their research advisers, Mr. Ralph R. Magumpara, MSciEd, and Ms. Efefany Jane H. Jumarito, MSciEd, BSED Science Program Chair, with the support, guidance, and encouragement of Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial, STE Dean. <\/div>\n

This year\u2019s conference theme, \u201cReimagining STEM Education in the Digital Transformation Era,\u201d highlighted the impact of digital technologies on modern STEM education. The event aimed to explore innovative teaching methods, digital tools, and strategies for enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. Through discussions and presentations, participants sought ways to adapt STEM education to the digital age, equipping future educators with the skills that are needed to navigate and thrive in an increasingly digital world.<\/div>\n
