The J.H. Cerilles State College School of Law (JHCSC-SOL), led by Dean Atty. Romylyn O. Regidor held its first-ever psychological event, \ud835\ude17\ud835\ude08\ud835\ude13\ud835\ude08\ud835\ude1e\ud835\ude19\ud835\ude16 2024, on November 9 at the Pagadian City Extension Campus Lobby. Themed \u201cCohesiveness in Diversity: Embracing Greatness Through Embodying the Culture of Perseverance and Camaraderie\u201d aimed to promote mental well-being and foster unity among law students. It was organized by the JHCSC-SOL Student Supreme Council (SCC), spearheaded by President Mrs. Estella Marie N. Calib.<\/div>\n

In the opening remarks, Dean Regidor said, \u201cWe are responsible for taking care of our well-being,\u201d emphasizing the importance of joining in psychological activities like \u201cPALAWRO 2024\u201d, an opportunity to connect, alleviate stress, and take a break from the intense pressures of law school. In contrast, she also stated, \u201cWe need to acknowledge individual personality,\u201d explaining that she didn\u2019t want the students to participate mandatorily but only those who were vacant and willing.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The event started with preliminary activities, including Zumba and a fun water-spraying to energize the participants. The main program featured a series of interactive and team-building Fun Games, which included 30 Seconds Yells, Careless Whisper, Boss Baby, One Step Closer, and If We Hold Together. These games tested the participants\u2019 camaraderie, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Five teams\u2014color-coded Blue, Red, Green, Purple, and Orange\u2014competed for the championship. After an exciting series of challenges, the Green Team emerged as the overall champion. Another event highlight was the traditional Filipino game Palo Sibo, played by each team.<\/div>\n

According to Mrs. Calib during her interview with the Malindang Broadcasting Network, PALAWRO 2024 is the first-ever psychological event in the School of Law, which was \ud835\udc8a\ud835\udc8f\ud835\udc8a\ud835\udc95\ud835\udc8a\ud835\udc82\ud835\udc95\ud835\udc86\ud835\udc85 \ud835\udc83\ud835\udc9a \ud835\udc6b\ud835\udc93. \ud835\udc6c\ud835\udc85\ud835\udc88\ud835\udc82\ud835\udc93\ud835\udc85\ud835\udc90 \ud835\udc6f. \ud835\udc79\ud835\udc90\ud835\udc94\ud835\udc82\ud835\udc8d\ud835\udc86\ud835\udc94, \ud835\udc71\ud835\udc6f\ud835\udc6a\ud835\udc7a\ud835\udc6a \ud835\udc77\ud835\udc93\ud835\udc86\ud835\udc94\ud835\udc8a\ud835\udc85\ud835\udc86\ud835\udc8f\ud835\udc95, where the SCC of SOL executed it. She thanked the administration for the full support, particularly to Campus Director Dr. Patricia D. Bahian and the SOL Dean Atty. Regidor. Mrs. Calib emphasized the event’s significance as a much-needed break from the rigors of law school, offering students a chance to relax and have fun outside the pressure of oral recitations, quizzes, and exams. It was a moment to cease the fire from academics and enjoy, bond, and relax.<\/div>\n

The program concluded with a Boodle Peace, where all participants shared a meal, celebrating the event’s success and strengthening their bonds. Overall, PALAWRO 2024 was a successful and refreshing experience for the JHCSC School of Law students, promoting mental well-being and reinforcing the value of teamwork and community.<\/div>\n
