The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) proudly hosted its highly anticipated Socialization Night on October 19, 2024, at the Pavilion Hall in Dao, Pagadian City. The event was centered around the thoughtful theme \u201cEmpowering Minds, Building Bridges: The JHCSC SGS Way.\u201d The evening unfolded as an elegant masquerade-themed affair, meticulously organized by the SGS Student Council under the leadership of President Mr. Ariel Sajulga.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Distinguished attendees included Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Jerry B. Superales, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Resource Generation; and Dr. Patricia D. Bahian, Dean of the School of Graduate Studies. The event also welcomed Hon. Glady Quirante, Faculty Trustee; Hon. Cyrusdirk Elle, Student Trustee; and Dr. Frederick Grengia, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences. Staff and students from various SGS programs, including the Master of Arts in Education (MAED) with majors in Educational Administration, English, Filipino, Science, Mathematics, the Master of Agricultural Development (MagDev), and the Master of Science in Environmental Resources Management (MSERM), were present to celebrate.<\/div>\n

Mr. Mohamand Ali E. Ramber, a distinguished alumnus of the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), had the honor of serving as the guest speaker for the event. In his engaging address, he underscored the importance of building relationships and fostering collaboration. Mr. Ramber passionately highlighted that meaningful connections are essential for personal growth and enhancing the academic community\u2019s collective success.<\/div>\n

During the event, an induction ceremony was held for the newly elected School of Graduate Studies (SGS) Student Council officers. The ceremony was conducted by Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, Vice President for Academic Affairs. This significant moment celebrated the commitment of the new officers as they assumed their responsibilities in promoting a collaborative and enriching academic environment for their fellow students.<\/div>\n

SGS Day showcased various contests and activities, from literary competitions to the famous \u201cCelebrity Ka Look A Like,\u201d which emerged as the event\u2019s highlight. Students who donned their finest attire for the occasion were recognized with special awards for being best-dressed, adding an extra layer of excitement and engagement to the festivities. The diverse activities fostered a spirit of camaraderie and celebration among participants, making the day memorable for all involved.<\/div>\n
