Cerilles State College System President Dr. Mary Jocelyn Villejo Battung, a Thanks Giving Party Celebration was held to honor the institution\u2019s graduates who recently passed and also topped the 2021 board examinations. It was held at Amoroso Convention Center (ACC) Building, Pagadian City on February 11, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The event brought honor to Jumar B. Taoto-an from the School of Criminal Justice Education ( SoCJE) of JHCSC Dumingag Campus, the recently celebrated alumnus who notched the top 6 spot in the Criminologist board examinations as well as for the other 53 examinees who made it possible for the institution to achieve a high percent passing rate in the said examination.<\/p>\n<p>The JHCSCian, who got an 89.25% percent rating, ranked 6th out of more than 11,000 who passed, and over 33,983 who took the criminologist licensure examinations held last December 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Jumar who hailed from Ramon Magsaysay town of Zamboanga del Sur, is a son of a farmer parents.\u00a0 And after graduating high school, he chose to pursue college at JH Cerilles State College Dumingag Campus.<\/p>\n<p>Poverty did not halt Jumar B. Taoto-an &#8216;s dream to become a licensed criminologist and soon a policeman, but rather, he used it to strive hard not just to surpass life&#8217;s battles, but to aim for the highest achievement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy mentors inspired and pushed me not just to study but to love the process of studying and learning. This has paved the way and laid the foundation for me to develop a great sense of affection for criminology,\u201d Taoto-an said in his speech.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was granted with an academic scholarship by the college. If not for that opportunity, I wouldn\u2019t be here today. That\u2019s why I will forever be grateful and will remain loyal to my dear alma mater,\u201d he said during the event.<\/p>\n<p>President Dr. Mary Jocelyn Villejo Battung in her message, shared her gratitude for the topnotcher and board passers. She also thanked them for their faith, hard work, and for their commitment to the college.<\/p>\n<p>Pres. Battung also thanked the untiring workforce of the Criminal Justice Education ( SoCJE) headed by dean Dr. Mercy O. Cabaong with her competent Faculty Members in molding and guiding their students to achieve these heights.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, Pres. Battung commended the batch of passers as they are now ready to face the challenges of their chosen career. \u201c I would like for you to practice gratitude. Please do not forget your alma mater.
