Cerilles State College (JHCSC) were formally pinned and recognized during the 3rd Pinning Ceremony held on June 5, 2026, at the Guipos Municipal Gymnasium, signifying their readiness to undertake their On-the-Job Training (OJT) in various field offices under the theme \u201cFlourishing with Purpose, Leading with Impact,\u201d reflecting their commitment to professional growth, environmental stewardship, and meaningful service to the community. Leading the event were Dr. Emelyn D. Tormes, Dean of the School of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Studies (SAFES), and Mr. Joe Michael J. Calanda, BSES Program Chair, who encouraged the students to uphold the values and standards expected of future environmental practitioners.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"postbody\">Carrying the batch name \u201cVirentia,\u201d the ceremony served as a significant rite of passage for the aspiring environmental professionals who are set to be deployed to different Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) offices across the Province of Zamboanga del Sur. Through their field immersion, the students will gain practical experience and develop the competencies necessary for their future careers in environmental science and resource management.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"postbody\">A highlight of the program was the inspirational message delivered by April Rose B. Carasca, M.Sc., who shared valuable insights on the realities and responsibilities of field training. \u201cOur guest speaker reminded us that OJT requires patience, humility, and obedience\u2014encouraging us to endure challenges and faithfully follow the guidance and instructions of our supervisors and heads,\u201d the students reflected following the address.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"postbody\">The ceremony also featured the Pledge of Professionalism, led by Roshel Dawn T. Majan, where the trainees collectively affirmed their commitment to ethical conduct, accountability, and excellence as they prepare to represent the institution in their respective training assignments. <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"postbody\">More than a ceremonial tradition, the pinning marked the students\u2019 transition from classroom learning to professional practice.
