The JHCSC Board of Trustees (BOT) convened for its 1st Quarter Meeting on April 10, 2026 at the JHCSC Hostel, Pagadian City Extension Campus, following the unveiling of the outdoor LED wall of the JHCSC Pagadian Campus. The meeting was chaired by BOT Chairperson and CHED Commissioner Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III and gathered key officials to review and discuss institutional initiatives vital to the institution\u2019s pursuit of universityhood.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Among the attendees were President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales, members of the Board of Trustees, heads of offices, and invited resource speakers. These included Atty. Peter Lloyd Carpio, Chairperson and Chief Legal Officer of the Legal and Legislative Management Division (LLMD) of the CHED Central Office, and Dr. Joseph Lou C. Sta. Teresa, Technical Division Chief of CHED Region IX, provided guidance and insights on policy and institutional development matters.\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

During the meeting, President Rosales presented the institution\u2019s achievements and progress, along with updates on the Universityhood Conversion, highlighting ongoing initiatives aligned with its strategic goals. The report covered developments in academic programs, infrastructure projects, and faculty and staff advancement, all of which strengthen the college\u2019s capacity as it prepares for university status. Members of the Board also reviewed and discussed issues and concerns raised during the session, engaging in deliberations to address operational challenges and further improve institutional performance.\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The meeting aims to ensure that the institution remains aligned with national higher education standards and the requirements for university conversion. It also serves as a platform for the board and key stakeholders to collaboratively assess progress, provide policy direction, and recommend strategies that will support the continued growth and development of the institution as it advances toward becoming a full-fledged university.<\/div>\n
