The delegates from J.H. Cerilles State College participated in a one-day institutional benchmarking activity on February 18, 2026, at the Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) Main Campus, aimed at strengthening campus disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) systems. The JHCSC delegation was led by Campus Director Dr. Trinidad C. Abapo, accompanied by DRRMO Director Mr. Jerry R. Redoblado, Security Head Jonathan Reville, and Pagadian Extension Campus Clinic In-Charge Niko Marie T. Casi\u00f1as, RN, along with other institutional staff. Their participation underscored JHCSC\u2019s commitment to enhancing capacity in emergency preparedness and response operations.<\/div>\n

At the event, hosted by the University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Services (UDRRMS) of JRMSU, JHCSC representatives engaged in knowledge exchange sessions with UDRRMS officials. Presentations highlighted flagship programs, best practices, and operational frameworks that underpin effective campus DRRM initiatives.<\/div>\n

The benchmarking activity featured opening remarks from UDRRMS leadership, technical briefings, and an open forum that fostered dialogue on improving DRRM implementation. A courtesy visit to the Security Services Office and the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office reinforced institutional collaboration between the two universities.\n<\/div>\n

The initiative aimed to promote standardization in DRRM planning, enhance institutional linkages among practitioners, and facilitate shared learning on efficient disaster response mechanisms. The activity aligns with broader efforts to cultivate disaster-ready and resilient higher education campuses.<\/div>\n

For JHCSC, participation in the benchmarking underscores the college\u2019s ongoing efforts to strengthen linkages with partner institutions and adopt best practices that will benefit students, personnel, and surrounding communities.
