JHCSC President Dr. Edgardo H. Rosales participated in the 1st Executive Board Meeting of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC), held under the leadership of Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo on February 19, 2026, at the Rizal Park Hotel in Ermita, Manila. The meeting convened leaders of state universities and colleges (SUCs) nationwide to discuss strategic policy directions, organizational enhancements, and financial planning initiatives in support of the continued advancement of public higher education.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Among the key agenda items were the presentation of recommendations to the draft CHED-DBM Revised SUC Levelling Guidelines and Instruments and the draft Revised Organization and Staffing Standards for SUCs (ROSSS) \u2013 Phase III. The Board also reviewed the FY 2025 Financial Statements and deliberated on the FY 2026 Proposed Receipts and Expenditures. These discussions form part of PASUC\u2019s ongoing efforts to promote institutional alignment, strengthen governance structures, and support effective and transparent resource management across SUCs.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

A consultation meeting was likewise conducted with Sherwin Gatchalian, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Finance. During the engagement, President Rosales conveyed the College\u2019s appreciation for the approved provisions under the 2026 General Appropriations Act in support of JHCSC\u2019s campus development projects. The dialogue emphasized the value of sustained coordination between SUCs and national policymakers in advancing institutional development priorities.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Through its active participation, JHCSC reaffirmed its commitment to aligning its institutional plans, programs, and development initiatives with national higher education policies and standards. The engagement reinforces the College\u2019s proactive role in advancing quality assurance, strengthening organizational structures, and promoting responsible resource management in pursuit of its mandate to deliver accessible, relevant, and responsive higher education to the communities it serves.<\/div>\n
