The School of Teacher Education (STE) successfully held the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing for the Adopt-a-Subanen Student Project (ASSP). It formalized its partnership with the Catalyst Pro Tutorial and Review Center (CPTRC) on January 23, 2025, at the JHCSC Main Campus Gymnasium in Mati, San Miguel. The event was attended by school administrators, faculty members, students, parents, and partner institutions. It was led by Dean Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial, with the support of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Vilma C. Grengia, highlighting the school\u2019s commitment to collaborative and inclusive educational initiatives.<\/div>\n

A major highlight of the event was the MOA signing for the Adopt-a-Subanen Student Project (ASSP), spearheaded by Dr. Samuel V. Bongcac Jr., PhD. The project aims to provide meaningful academic support to Subanen students by addressing their educational needs, improving access to learning resources, and fostering holistic student development. The initiative reflects the institution\u2019s commitment to community engagement and inclusive growth, particularly for indigenous learners.<\/div>\n

The event also marked the strengthening of STE\u2019s partnership with the Catalyst Pro Tutorial and Review Center (CPTRC). Through this collaboration, CPTRC will continue to provide structured review programs and academic support to STE students, particularly those preparing for the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT). The partnership emphasizes the importance of quality preparation, discipline, and sustained commitment in achieving professional licensure.<\/div>\n

Following the discussions, the formal MOA signing symbolized the shared commitment of the School of Teacher Education and its partners to work collaboratively in enhancing student performance, expanding learning opportunities, and ensuring academic readiness. The activity also included recognizing Dean\u2019s Listers, students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance and excellence during the previous academic term.<\/div>\n
