The J.H. Cerilles State College (JHCSC), Dean of the School of Teacher Education (STE), Dr. Starr Clyde L. Sebial, participated in the 15th MATHTED Biennial and International Conference on Mathematics Education held at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, from October 16 to 18, 2025. Dr. Sebial successfully presented the collaborative study titled \u201cQuantifying Students\u2019 Creativity in Function Arts\u201d during the parallel session under Theme 6: Technology and Artificial Intelligence. The conference carried the theme \u201cMathematics Education for Learning Futures: Towards the Fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals.\u201d<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The international research was co-authored by Guillermo P. Bautista Jr. of Johannes Kepler University, Austria and UP NISMED; Theodosia Prodromou of the University of New England, Australia; Derren Gaylo of Bukidnon State University, Philippines; and Zsolt Lavicza of Johannes Kepler University, Austria. The study introduced an innovative approach to assessing student creativity by integrating mathematical functions and artistic expression using GeoGebra, a dynamic mathematics software.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

This meaningful academic contribution aims to enrich STEAM-based mathematics education by offering new perspectives in evaluating students\u2019 creative outputs through technology. Through this initiative, JHCSC reaffirms its commitment to advancing research collaboration, promoting innovation in teaching and learning, and contributing to the global discourse on education aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/div>\n
