The Commission Chief also gave a talk on the General Framework of OBE based on CHED Memorandum Order No. 37, Series 2012. He stressed that there is a need to implement Outcomes-Based Education in order to level up the higher education system of the country. ”The end view of OBE is to enable our graduates to participate in the economic and developmental activities in the country and in the region”, the Director emphasized.
The College will implement OBE starting this school year 2015-2016 and it doubles its efforts to equip the faculty with appropriate knowledge about this new approach in teaching. Aside from the Director, Dr. Mario Obra, Director for International Relations of Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), Zamboanga City was also invited to talk about “Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) Constructive Alignment”. His lecture provided the participants with the knowledge on constructing organized and complete OBE syllabi. The activity ended with the presentation of OBE syllabus per area/program.
