Atty. Domingo T. Redelosa, IV, the Campus Administrator of JHCSC Pagadian and Dean of the College of Law, was awarded as the Most Outstanding ZamboSurian in the field of Legal Profession during the 65th Araw ng Zamboanga del Sur Most Outstanding ZamboSurian Awards Night last September 15, 2017 at Megayon Stage, Provincial Government Center, Dao, Pagadian City.
The province of Zamboanga del Sur recognized his exemplary qualities and achievements. During the awards night, awardees in different fields were received the plaque of recognition and were given the chance to deliver a speech and encouraged other ZamboSurian to excel in their profession and contribute to the progress and development of the province. Senator Bongbong Marcos was the guest speaker of the night. Senator Marcos together with Governor Cerilles handed over the awards to the awardees.

in the field of Legal Profession

Atty. Domingo T. Redelosa, IV is the Dean of JHCSC’s College of Law, a position he has held since 2008. He is a topnotch and respected legal educator and practitioner, and most admired for his extraordinary contributions to the legal profession.

After having been admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1999, Dean Redelosa joined the Cerilles and Associates Law Office of former Governor Vicente Madarang Cerilles and became the youngest law practitioner in the whole province. In 2001, he became the Provincial Legal Officer of the Province of Zamboanga del Sur and went back to private practice and became a full-time partner in Cerilles and Associates Law Office in 2004. Since 2007, he has been the legal consultant of the province in the war against drugs. He is also the legal counsel of the following entities: Zamboanga del Sur I Electric Cooperative (ZAMSURECO-I), TVI, Inc. and 168 Ferrum Pacific Mining Corporation.

Dean Redelosa successfully defended the thirty five (35) police officers, including the Provincial Director, from criminal and administrative charges lodged by the narco-politicians after a shoot-out in Tukuran in 2008. He also successfully defended the joint task force of the province (ZDS)-MGB-PNP from criminal and administrative charges lodged by illegal mining operators during the stoppage and dismantling of illegal mining operations in Zamboanga del Sur, particularly in Bayog and Midsalip in 2011 and 2012.

In 2015, Dean Redelosa made history in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)- Western Mindanao when he successfully regained the IBP Governorship of Zamboanga del Sur after thirty eight (38) years. He was also the Chairman of the Committee on Legislations of the IBP 22nd Board of Governors.

These meritorious achievements and exemplary personal qualities, being the hallmarks of an outstanding ZamboSurian, have rightfully earned him this well-deserved accolade and distinction worthy of emulation by all the people of Zamboanga del Sur.
